If your child gets nervous at the dentist, this one is for you. When we started dreaming up a name for our new pediatric dental office in Sandy, UT, we wanted it to say something real to parents like you, and to the little ones holding your hand in the waiting room.

Weeks of going in circles

We went in circles for weeks. Everything we wrote down sounded like a dental office: clean, clinical and forgettable. None of it felt like the place we were building.

So we stopped listing names and started listing what we actually see in the dental chair: a child who is scared, and does it anyway.

What "brave" really means to us

That's bravery. Not the absence of nerves, just the walking in part. Every child who comes through our door has already done the hardest thing, and we think that deserves to be celebrated.

So "Brave" isn't a description of tough kids. It's a promise about how we treat the nervous ones:

• No scary talk
• No rushing
• No "you'll be fine" said too fast
• Lots of patience, choices and time to get comfortable

A promise to parents, too

We know how it feels to watch your child worry, and how much you want their visit to go well. At Brave Kids, you're part of the team. We'll listen to what you know about your child, go at their pace and explain every step, so both of you can walk out feeling proud.
